Arkadiusz Kalinowski specialises in cases in the fields of chemical technology, pharmaceuticals, materials engineering and nanotechnology. He drafts and files national and international patent applications, and directs the further course of action until a decision is granted. He participates in the preparation of European patent applications.
He develops multi-faceted search strategies and conducts comprehensive patent searches, in particular prior art, patentability and freedom to operate (FTO) searches. Moreover, he drafts opinions on patent matters, in particular those concerning the assessment of a risk of patent infringement.
He graduated from the Warsaw University of Technology, Faculty of Chemistry, with two majors: solid state technology as well as synthesis, catalysis and high-temperature processes. He wrote both his bachelor’s and master’s theses in nanotechnology at the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
From 2017 to 2019, he did his patent attorney traineeship with the Polish Chamber of Patent and Trademark Attorneys, and was listed as a patent and trademark attorney in December 2020. He completed postgraduate studies in intellectual property law at the University of Warsaw. He passed the pre-examination to become a European patent attorney in 2023 and is currently preparing for the main parts of the European Qualifying Examination (EQE).
He is active in the professional association of the Polish Chamber of Patent and Trademark Attorneys. Since 2021, he has been the Dean of Podlasie District and a member of the National and International Cooperation Committee.
