Adam Trawczyński specialises in the protection of inventions in the fields of chemistry, biotechnology, pharmacy and medicine. As part of his responsibilities, he draws up national, European and international patent applications, as well as handles the patent application process before the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, EPO and WIPO. He also carries out patent examinations and handles matters related to the grant of supplementary protection certificates (SPC). He participates in litigation proceedings (applications for annulment of patents before dispute review boards at the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, complaints to the Provincial Administrative Court and the Supreme Administrative Court) and draws up legal opinions in the area of said specialisations. In addition, he revises translations of patent specifications required for EP validation at the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland. He provides advisory services to clients as regards protection strategies and provides IP training courses.
Associated with JWP since 2016, Adam was a winner of the second edition of an internship competition organised as part of a talent acquisition project held by the JWP Foundation. He has 5 years of experience in carrying out scientific research projects (including as a winner of the first edition of the “Diamentowy Grant” programme) focusing on the synthesis of nitrogen heterocyclic compounds, gained during his work at the Institute of Organic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
