This year, Magdalena Maksimowska, Patent Attorney and Head of the Trademark and Industrial Design Team, and Iwona Płodzich-Hennig, Patent Attorney and Head of the JWP Office in Gdańsk have been promoted to partnership.
Magdalena Maksimowska is an attorney with extensive experience in matters of trademark and industrial design protection. She handles proceedings before the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva. She provides advice to Polish and foreign clients as regards the development of strategies for effective protection of IP rights. She assists companies in managing their portfolios of exclusive rights in Poland and in global markets. She cooperates with companies operating in various industries, including, among others, video game companies, retail chains, food and FMCG sector companies.
Iwona Płodzich-Hennig is a renowned patent attorney with expertise in matters regarding the protection of life science inventions, including in the field of pharmacy, nanotechnology, biotechnology and chemistry. A member of JWP Team since 2012, she previously worked for a pharmaceutical company. Currently, she heads the JWP Office in Gdańsk, where she offers assistance in devising IP protection strategies to national and international entities, including companies from chemical, petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries, as well as many research institutes and universities. She also conducts patent searches and handles registration proceedings under national, European and international procedures. Moreover, she is an author of many publications in professional journals and an active member of self-governing vocational association of patent attorneys.
