What are the costs of opposition proceedings before the Polish Patent Office?
The Regulation of the Council of Ministers of 8 September 2016 amending the Regulation on fees related to the protection of inventions, utility models, industrial designs, trade marks, geographical indications and topographies of integrated circuits (Journal of Laws 2016.1623 of 6 Oct. 2016) stipulates that the official fee for filing an objection to a trade mark application is PLN 600. If one uses the services of an attorney, one should also remember to pay stamp duty on the power of attorney of PLN 17. As for JWP’s fee, this depends on the circumstances of the case and is agreed on individually with each client.
