Jacek Stachowski specialises in conducting patent searches and handling cases in the fields of mechanics, mechanical engineering, in particular in the fields of support, construction and engineering structures, railways, mining, machine and mechanical device construction and, in addition, in analysing the scope of protection, particularly for the purposes of litigation. Furthermore, because of his education and professional experience, he provides assistance with business strategy matters, especially in the context of IP, and strategic advice, and advice on planning the scope of R&D work against existing technical (technological) solutions as part of publicly funded projects. He deals with and manages parallel patent applications in various jurisdictions and has experience in estimating the amount and severity of damages in unfair competition proceedings. He is also experienced in providing topic-specific IP training to start-ups, SMEs and strategic state-owned entities.
He graduated from the Krakow University of Economics with a degree in management and completed postgraduate studies at Kozminski University in Warsaw in the field of business valuation. He has been working on patent matters since 2014, previously cooperating pro-bono with patent attorneys from Krakow’s technical universities. He has been qualified as a patent attorney since 2021 and is entered on the list of patent attorneys of the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland.
